Robert Elliott III
was born about 1695 in Roxburgh County, Scotland and was the last Laird of
Midlem Mills. His first wife was from West Prussia where he moved to find
work. They had three chlildren. Mary died in 1722. Robert then moved, with
his sons, to Enniskillen, Fermanagh County, Ireland. He married Mary
Rainey in 1724. They moved to America in 1737 and settled on a farm seven
miles north of Carlisle, in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He died in
1768.
Robert Elliott IV
as born in 1727 in Enniskillen, Fermanagh County, Ireland. He marrid about
1747. He died about 1763 in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
